About Cascadilla
Cascadilla School was founded in
1870 as a preparatory school for Cornell University. In 1939, it
was reorganized as a nonprofit corporation under a Board of Trustees
and granted an absolute charter by the Board of Regents of the State
of New York.
The philosophy of education at Cascadilla is to provide a flexible,
accelerated program within which each individual can achieve his
or her goals in preparation for a successful college career. This
learning experience emphasizes the steady development of an adult
viewpoint and a mature approach to life. |

as well as athletics events. The School is located on the edge of
the Cornell University campus, and students are encouraged to take
advantage of the community's outstanding offerings, which include
restaurants, shops, theater, and recreational facilities. There is
direct air and bus service from New York City and other major U.S.
cities.
Cascadilla School is registered with the New York State Board of Regents.
